Canon Rebel T2i

22 Apr

I recently purchased a new SLR (finally) and I have been nothing but impressed by the pictures that come out of this thing.

I have only got as far as the Auto function but even so that is awesome. I’m going to need lots of practice before Europe!

Here`s a couple pictures!

Matthew Good @ The Vogue Theater

5 Dec

I was so excited when I found out Matt Good was touring to promote his new album Lights of Endangered Species, I have been a big fan for a couple years now and it kills me to miss a show.. This is only my second time seeing him but I have decided I will never miss another one ever again.I am truly disappointed that I did not get to see the Hospital Music Tour as I think that has to be one of my all time favorite albums, I go through phases where that’s all I listen to on repeat for days.. so amazing. He  is one of those people where you actually feel lucky to be at his show and be in the same vicinity as him while he does what he does and I have to say it’s the first concert that has ever brought me to tears.. My gf and concert buddy has been going to his shows for over 10 years and says that he just keeps getting better, I personally can’t wait for the next one… One last thing. I FREAKING love my camera.

Tryin not to geek out big time.

A picture I took at his last show that I brought for him to sign :)

I finally replaced my camera on Sunday so I took it downtown to play with it a bit, it never ceases to amaze me howeasy it is to get amazing pictures in this city.

After the first day I was convinced it was a quite slow compared to my first one so I took it back to the store where she assured me that it was all in my head, but she did humor me(bless her heart) by challenging  my camera and a brand new one out of the box to a start up race to see which one was faster, they were in fact exactly the same.. lol. Turns out the  memory card I had in there was the issue, problem solved.

Morale of the story I have my camera back and I am more than excited.

I don’t consider myself a photographer nor do I aspire to be one,  I just really love taking pictures and even more than that I love editing them…

So here’s the latest, there is much more where this came from  (click here) but these are my favs at the moment.

The trees at Pra Thom

A couple of my favorites pictures from my trip to Angkor Wat, the horrible camera I had at the time was a major disappointment but I can imagine with a proper DSLR you could snap some pretty epic shots.

Summer In The City

8 Jul

Okay fine, I’ll admit I’ve become slightly addicted to this Retro app but they all come out so cute I can’t help it..

Also I don’t have a camera anymore, (don’t wanna talk about it) so I have to take them on my phone or it will be the summer of no picture.. how sad.
